What is The Butcher and The Chef?

The Butcher And The Chef are two passionate foodies with 20 years combined experience in meat retail and international flavours. We (Kristy and Tom) create ready -to-cook dinners using fresh herbs and our home made selection of stock, jus, spice rubs and accompaniments. We also sell gourmet salads and a range of spit roasted meats if you are short of time to cook.

All of the products we source must be of high integrity, ethically farmed and processed with no chemicals or added hormones. We sell Grass Fed Beef From Tasmania, Bangalow Pork from Byron Bay, Grass Fed Woodstock Lamb from the Riverina and Free Range Chicken from the Adelaide hills. In addition, we have a full deli range and all of our beautiful ham,  artisan and Sardinian style salami is made from ethically produced pork from Bangalow in Byron Bay.

How has your business benefited from outsourcing to Cornerstone Group?

We can concentrate on creating new products and working on the areas of our business that need our expertise. Cornerstone do all of the things we are not in business to do! Paperwork!

What do you do with the time you have saved due to using Cornerstone Group?

We have a young family and two retail stores so we are quite time poor and using Cornerstone gives us more time to spend with our children.

What are your top ethical meat choices for the Christmas meal?

A free range, chemical free turkey from Tintin Hull, a leg ham on the bone from Bangalow (baked with our home made glaze and candied oranges) or any of our lamb, beef or pork roasts served with our home made jus or gravy.
