The best invoicing software doesn’t begin to explain Xero
For those of you not in the know, Xerocon is an event that happens around the world in San Francisco, London, Sydney & Auckland and is put on by Xero. Combining a range of speakers and educational sessions, Xerocon is a hotbed of Xero fanatics and otherwise seeking what we call in the bookkeeping world as the holy grail: a simple way to manage accounts in the cloud.
While you won’t find us lounging around the office wearing our Xero t-shirts on Friday afternoons, we’re certainly proud to be a Xero Silver Partner and proudly recommend Xero to many of our customers. I thought I’d share a few of the reasons why I personally have attended Xerocon twice (in Auckland in 2013 and Sydney in 2014):
Add-on Partners Exhibit
At Xerocon, all of the add-on partners are in one space. This gives bookkeepers like Cornerstone direct, face-to-face contact with existing partners that we already have a relationship with. We can put faces to names and further develop on our existing partnerships.
In addition, new add-on partners are always popping up who may be able to help solve issues for our customers. Each customer has a specific pain point that an add-on partner can help to solve. Since we always have our ears to the ground in listening to client concerns, this enables us to ask specific questions and get to know the add-on partners personally before making the choice to use the service.
Break-outs
The break-out sessions that happen throughout Xerocon allow us to get really connected in not only with what’s happening with Xero internationally, but also on the local changes happening in Australia. There are a mix of presentations ranging from the Australian Taxation Office (ATO), Xero product demos, remaining relevant in our industry and keeping up with technological and legal requirements.
In addition, there are opportunities to attend panels of other bookkeepers and accountants who are leading edge in terms of cloud accounting and have some great feedback.
Hear from the key people at Xero
By the time Xerocon is said and done, we leave with a clear sense of what happened and what’s to come in terms of Xero offerings. Staying on top of our game is key to providing the best service to our customers and constantly educating them on internal software changes and how to best incorporate them into their bookkeeping practice.
At Cornerstone Bookkeeping, it’s important to us that we’re seen being involved with the forward-thinking of Xero, so that we can continually look out for the best interests of our customers.
See you at the next Xerocon!
